Mmm. . . Teppan-Time!

Today I went with some friends to get some delicious teppanyaki at Juban Restaurant. The steps to perfect order, cook and eat are so:

  1. Order 2-3 meat dishes per person. My top three picks are: "Kalbi" short rib w/bone ($8.50), Ribeye ($9.50) and Garlic Steak ($8.50)
  2. Pick a side of the grill to cook. If you're sharing the space with a large party, you'll have to claim one side of the grill.
  3. Lay pieces of meat flat on grill. Be sure to know how rare you like the meat! Personally, I like well-done, almost charred so I leave it to brown on one side before I. . .
  4. Flip the meat! Flip it real good -- or else you'll have one side really raw and one side really cooked.
  5. EAT! Either eat it by itself (yum), eat it on a bed of white rice (yum yum) or eat it in lettuce wraps (yum yum yum!)
Ahh. . . happy full kitty!

If you're ever in New York, be sure to check out an even tastier option: Village Yokocho! Try out their delicious spinach dish or their duck skewers. Mmm!!

And since you're in the neighborhood check out the greasy-served-in-paper-cones Pommes Frites!
